Atlanta- based Post-hardcore rockers Norma Jean has signed with Razor & Tie Records.
The band will be headlining the “Explosions 2009″ US/Canada tour in late November through December and will play their breakthrough album Bless The Martyr and Kiss the Child in its entirety on select dates.
Also on the tour is Horse The Band, The Chariot and Arsonists Get All The Girls.
“If we didn’t sign to Razor & Tie, I think we would have gone on a killing spree, with no regard for life or limb”, said Norma Jean Frontman Cory Brandan.”I think for the first time in our career, upon presenting our ideas, we get to hear the word “yes” more often. It’s like discovering an unknown tribe on a distant island. Except we’re the tribe and we don’t know your language. Plus we have spears and swords and we’re cannibals. Either way, we’re insanely animated about R&T showing up and want to try on their Nike Air Jordans.”
Norma Jean has also returned to the studio. According to their website the band is currently working on new material with Jeremy Griffith at Glow in the Dark Studio in Atlanta, GA and will immediately resume work on a new album after the upcoming tour.
Their last album ‘Anti Mother, released in 2008 debuted at #29 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. The new album is set for release Summer 2010.
