Decemberists' frontman Colin Meloy and his illustrator wife Carson Ellis, are teaming up to work on a series of adventure novels for children entitled Wildwood. The first book is due out in fall 2011 via publishing powerhouse HarperCollins. The Wildwood series deals with "adventure, magic, and danger, set in an alternate version of modern-day Portland, Oregon," according to a press release.
