By now we all know that Bono and The Edge are responsible for the music and lyrics for the new Spider-Man Broadway show. Not to be outdone, Johnny Marr has written the theme song for the new sitcom “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret”, starring David Cross. The shows theme song is titled, “Life is Sweet”, which pretty much goes against everything Marr’s former bandmate, Morrissey, believes in.
You may remember Johnny Marr as the guitar wizard behind The Smiths or Modest Mouse’s most recent album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Marr has also played with Beck, Billy Bragg, Pet Shop Boys, Oasis, The Pretenders and was a member of The The. Most recently, Marr played a significant role in making the score for Christopher Nolan’s massive summer film, Inception.
“The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret” is a BBC series about a goofy American executive who is mistakenly sent to manage the UK branch of his company. Cross’ former “Arrested Development” co-star, Will Arnett, will also be featured on the show. Hi-jinks will undoubtedly be found here.
