Wolf Parade is touring in support of their third full-length, Expo 86, which came out at the end of July on Sub Pop Records. Both the band and the critics agree that this one is a more cohesive record than the previous two. And though there’s a history of creating richly instrumented indie rock with keyboard overlays, Expo 86 has more of a broken down, rock sound to it.

This band has been compared, sonically, to the likes of Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse. Rightfully so, they actually worked with Modest Mouse frontman, Isaac Brock, in congruence with their first record. Brock is also credited as having gotten the band signed to Sub Pop.
