Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor has been nominated for a Golden Globe award for his work on the score for The Social Network.
Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross are nominees in the Best Original Score category, it was announced on Tuesday.
The rocker will be going up against more experienced film composers, including Hans Zimmer (Inception), Danny Elfman (Alice in Wonderland), Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech) and A.R. Rahman (127 Hours).
The Social Network received six nominations overall, including a nod for Best Motion Picture – Drama.
You can see if Reznor will get a chance to give an industrial-sized acceptance speech on January 16, when the ceremony is broadcast on NBC.
