Elton John Plans Olympic Show with Muse in Mind

Sir Elton John is planning a concert to celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games in London.  The Grammy Award winning megastar reportedly hopes to hold the concert in the capitol during the Games next summer and it is rumored that he wants the band Muse to share the bill.

“He’s been a huge fan of Matt Bellamy’s band for years and is desperate to collaborate with them.  A show during the London Olympics will be the ideal opportunity.  And with Muse’s reputation as one of the best live groups in the world it’s bound to be special,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

But John isn’t the only “Sir” planning on celebrating the Games next year.  Sir Paul McCartney is expected to be involved in either the opening or closing ceremonies, with rumors that his former bandmate, Ringo Starr will be joining him.

Other acts rumored to play are The Rolling Stones, a reformed Led Zeppelin and the Spice Girls.
