From ladylike to the bohemian, from color-blocking to lace, it seems next spring will bring a wide plethora of choices when it comes to fashion.
It was a hard job, but we picked some of our favorite collections from New York, London and Milan (Paris isn’t over yet). So check them out:
New York Fashion Week
Monique Lhuillier
The designer is better known for her red-carpet dresses, but this season Lhuillier went edgier and sexier thanks to the use of leather and prints.
However, there’s still the Monique Lhuillier most Hollywood stars know, and in her true fashion, showed off some draped ball gowns we’re sure we’ll see soon enough.

Derek Lam
The styling on the models reminded us somewhat of the Little Rascals, but in a good way. Having said that, there was no confusion when it came to the clothes: breezy cool.
We love seeing separates and sportswear, and the beauty of Derek Lam is that he might bring lots of elements like prints, intense palette and sheer fabrics, among other things, but it’s still presented as easy fashion.

Jason Wu
There’s something grown-up, but not old, about Jason Wu’s clothes, and this season was no exemption.
While a bit repetitive, we found the flower prints to be exquisite and cute, while his dresses were ladylike and young.

Prabal Gurung
For spring 2012, it seems Prabal Gurung chose to go even further than ever in his evolution.
The sheer panels, cutouts, painted pants and bondage elements made his collection seemed kinky, fragile and dangerous at the same time.

Matthew Williamson
Usually, the color orange seems outdated for us, but it wasn’t the case in Matthew Williamson’s collection.
The designer is well aware of the color blocking trend, and the good news is that he used it perfectly.

Giles
We might be biased, but we’re suckers for anything that brings us back to Black Swan, and we got that visual by looking at the latest from Giles.
To be fair, it was only a pair of long dresses and the head pieces that resembled the movie, but the rest was retro-infused, feather dresses.

Temperley London
It’s hard to live up to expectations when Pippa Middleton is one of your customers, so Temperley London showed a more grown-up woman style in her latest collection, however, the cool factor was still there.
Headscarves and big sunglasses helped the clothes to give birth to the new Temperley London woman, a more sophisticated and powerful woman. Maybe that’s why Pippa is a fan.

Dolce & Gabbana
The Italian brand has always reinvented sexy and colorful, and for their spring collection they did it again, but in a totally different way.
One doesn’t turn to pepper and tomatoes when designing clothes, but the visual helped D&G to make one festive and colorful presentation.

Emilio Pucci
For those of you who loved Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress at the Emmys, we bring you more midriff bearing, sexy ensembles, thanks to Emilio Pucci.
His women were gypsy, man-eating temptresses and it totally worked.
