Sir Paul McCartney and new bride Nancy Shevell enjoyed a second wedding ceremony in the U.S.
The couple married earlier this month in London, but Shevell who is from New York wanted to celebrate closer to home. The newlyweds celebrated at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan on Friday night.
Some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry joined them including: Jon Bon Jovi, Dave Grohl, James Taylor, Keith Richards and his wife Patti Hansen, Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Ralph Lauren, Barbara Walters and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono also made a surprise appearance.
Shevell, 51, looked amazing in a royal blue knee length dress and single buttoned jacket. McCartney, 69, wore a navy suit and striped tie.
The party took place in one of the hotel’s private rooms with a vegetarian menu and champagne. The couple and their friends danced to Motown most of the night.
“Nancy looked so overjoyed (and sort of happily overwhelmed) by the outpouring of joy for them. They held hands and took photos as made their way to the car,” a source told Us Weekly.
