Can’t say we didn’t see this coming.
Sugarland is being sued by 44 people that were injured when the stage collapsed at the Sugerland concert in Indiana last August.
The complaint filed in the Marion Superior Court in Indianapolis accuses them of of failing to ensure a safe environment for concertgoers that contributed to the tragedy.
The suit, also filed against concert promoter Live Nation, ESG Security, the stagehands’ union, and a number of other companies, claims that Sugarland had the authority to cancel the show because of bad weather, but didn’t, putting their fans in danger.
Before the band took the stage on August 13 strong winds knocked over the stage, killing 7 people and injuring more than 45.
