If this isn’t a WTF moment then I’m not sure what is. Twitter has been the platform for several notable rap beefs over the years, but this one has to take first prize for stupid.
Over the weekend a fan tweeted Cher, telling her that Nicki Minaj had insulted her in her track, ’Did It On ‘Em’, in which Nicki raps, “If you could turn back time, Cher, you used to be here, now you’re gone Nair”.
The fan wrote: “@cher did you know that b-tch @NickiMinaj dissed you in her song DIDITONEM? (sic)”
Cher replied: “Ive seen lots of people come & go! No biggie!”
Minaj having seen enough tweeted: ”@Cher #stopit5.”
Cher then apologizes tweeting, ”You’re right! Im wrong! U R Right! Someone said I was dissed…
“I’ve been dissed b4, but instead of finding out…I just got defensive! I should know better! Dumb. What does that say about me? Insecure? Want 2b understood? What?”
Somehow, for some reason, Minaj’s bodyguard, bell hop, twitter defender boyfriend Safaree Samuels decides to get involved tweeting, “yo @cher listen to the words b4 you say dumb sh-t on twitter. do you know what a rap metaphore is??? TM is a cult you dont want it with!!”
Cher reponds:
“You’re right! Im wrong! U R Right! Someone said I was dissed…I’ve been dissed b4, but instead of finding out…I just got defensive!
Gimme a fkn break! Said I was dumb!”
Clearly this was stupid on a number of levels. What do you think? Sound off in the comment section.
