The 54th Grammy Awards nominations were announced last night and there were a few surprises.
Bon Iver, who is already having a hell of a year who the successful release of this self-titled album was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Holocene”. Bon Iver has also been nominated for Best New Artist, which left many confused seeing how Vernon is on his second album.
Kanye West is up for seven awards, although West’s latest album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” was notably absent from the Album of the Year category.
Other big nominations went to Adele who was nominated for six awards, Radiohead, who are up for five, Foo Fighter who were nominated for six, including Album of the Year and Foster the People receive two nominations.
