?uestlove Must Receive Song Approval From NBC After Bachmann Incident

Due to the controversy caused  by ?uestlove’s intro selection for Tea Party representative Michelle Bachmann, all songs picked by ?uest must now be approved by the higher-ups at NBC. The song Jimmy Fallon’s musical director chose for Bachmann, Fishbone’s “Lyin’ Ass Bitch”, did not offend Bachmann on camera, but the resulting public outroar was big enough to warrant an apology from NBC.

I an recent interview with Pitchfork ?uestlove said he regretted playing the intro, and that he didn’t mean to offend anyone, but as a result of the blacklash three different NBC executives must now clear every song choice ?uest makes before playing them on the show.

Is Bachmann going too far with this? Should ?uestlove be allowed to subtly express his opinions via brief intro music? Let us know in the comment section.

I think the headline you were looking for was “The Roots leave Jimmy Fallon Show”

I’m with you. I don’t think you can really play and be happy under that type of pressure.
