As expected in this day and age, touring has become top priority for every artist mainstream and indie. Blowing away this year’s top-grossing tours of 2011 is U2, amassing $293 million in a span of 44 shows this year. As reported by Billboard, this year saw some money makers in veteran acts such as the aforementioned U2, Bon Jovi, Sade, The Eagles, Journey, Neil Diamond, Iron Maiden and current pop stars Lady Gaga, Usher, Katy Perry, Michael Buble, Lil Wayne (the sole rap act on the list), Justin Bieber along with resurging artists Britney Spears, BSB, Enrique Iglesias all generating over the $20 million mark.
