Diddy Plans To Launch New Music TV Network Revolt On December 12th

Entertainment entrepreneur Sean Combs aka Diddy (fka Puff Daddy, Puffy, P.Diddy, Swag, etc.) has announced plans to launch his latest venture: a completely music video-based cable television network called Revolt by the end of the year on 12/12/12. The network’s theme has been described as akin to the golden years of MTV where music videos and news thrive but with an urban flare.

Sources say that former MTV programming director and chief of International Music Feed (IMF) Andy Schuon is involved with the project along with Comcast who will provide distribution as part of it’s 8 year plan to launch 10 new “independently owned” channels.

Despite the announcements of the involved participants including Time Warner Cable distribution, none of their representatives could be reached to comment.

Will Revolt TV come to fruition? It certainly sounds promising but with the age of youtube, vimeo, vevo, etc. is this all necessary?
