Brentwood’s favorite sons, InMe, will be touring the U.K. in February and March to promote their new album The Pride.
It will be the quartet’s fifth studio album, but, unlike their previous releases, will be distributed via Pledge Music – a website which allows fans to contribute monetarily and help a charity of the band’s choosing.
Singer Dave McPherson states that he is keen to follow up on the success of his solo album, The Hardship Diaries, also released through Pledge Music:
“Pledge Music enabled me to take my solo music to a whole new level. It brought me closer to my supporters & helped finance the whole campaign whilst raising £2000 for Save The Children. I’ve been excited about InMe’s Pledge Music campaign for far too long, it’s like waiting for Christmas when you’re a kid!”
To entice fans, the band have put up incentives such as an acoustic house party gig, a personalized song written by the band and enlisting drummer Simon Taylor as a session drummer for a recording.
The Pride will be given a worldwide release on Sunday 19th February, with the tour beginning in The Ivy, Sheerness on Wednesday 22nd February.
