Floyd Mayweather Jr. was suppose to turn himself in today to begin serving his 90-day sentence for assault, but the judge postponed the sentence until June 1, 2012 so the boxer can fight an undetermined opponent in Las Vegas on May 5th, according to TMZ.
As previously reported, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was sentenced to 90 days in jail for assaulting his baby’s mama in front of their kids back in September 2010, but the judge granted the boxer a reprieve of sorts, after Mayweather’s lawyer successfully argued all the financial reasons the sentence should be delayed.
I guess this time justice delayed isn’t justice denied. It’s just held up until after fight night.
