Iconic singer Morrissey has announced that he will be undertaking a tour of South America and Asia from next month.
In a statement from fansite True to You, the singer’s jaunt will commence on February 24 at the Vina del Mar Festival in Santiago, Chile. It was also announced that the former Smiths frontman will play his first ever concert in Peru (February 29th). A full list of dates are due to be unveiled next week.
Other countries expected to be on the itinery include Colombia, Argentina, Japan, Thailand, The Phillippines and New Zealand.
In related news, EMI records will be releasing a remixed version of Morrissey’s first solo single, ‘Suedehead’, as done by Sparks brothers Ron and Russell Mael. It will:
“…be issued as a CD release and a 10″ picture disc, both using previously unseen photographs of Morrissey.”
