Numerous media outlets are reporting that Beyoncé gave birth to a baby girl last night. According to the Houston Chronicle, Blue Ivy Carter was born last night via c-section.
A rep for the power couple has yet to confirm the the news, but that hasn’t stopped the couple’s celebrity friends from congratulating them on the new addition.
Russell Simmons sent his well wishes via twitter: “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.” Rihanna also took to her twitter account to congratulate the new parents: ”Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.”
The pop star checked herself into Lenox Hill Hospital yesterday. ABC news reported that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent out the suite.
