I guess it pays to have friends in the right places. While Scarlett Johansson may be no stranger to being in front of the camera, behind the lens is a different story. But that didn’t stop her friend and singer/songwriter, Jessie Baylin, from tapping the actress to direct her new video for her first single, Hurry, Hurry. Check out the video below.
“One of the greatest gifts of growing up with Jessie has been watching her develop as a musician,” Scarlett Johansson said about the collaboration. The video is simple, Baylin is simply walking along the Manhattan bridge, literally glowing and singing. It works well to showcase her voice and lyrics.
Johansson is pretty familiar with the world of music, starring in Justin Timberlake’s video for What Goes Around… Comes Around, and most recently releasing her own original material with artist Pete Yorn, and an older solo album entitled, Anywhere I Lay My Head.
As for Baylin, she may not be as well known as her superstar friend or rocker husband, Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill, but with the release of her new album, Little Spark, 2012 could be her year.
