It must be said that as an institution, All Tomorrow’s Parties are perhaps the most consistent in their booking of phenomenal bands for their festivals. ATP is slowly becoming the go-to festival for music lovers, with the seminal and much missed Afghan Whigs co-curating ATP’s summer festival, ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror’, in New Jersey. Now The National has been announced as co-curators for December’s festival.
The National is a great choice because not only would most people love to see them perform live, but you also wholeheartedly trust them to select a brilliant festival line-up, having collaborated with artists such as Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, and several members of Arcade Fire.
The festival is due to take place from December 7th-9th at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead, England. Other acts confirmed for the festival so far include Owen Pallet, the Antlers, Suuns, Tim Hecker, Wye Oak and Dark Dark Dark. Of course, the National, as curators of the event, will headline both days.
