Kid Rock to Play Benefit Show with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Detroit native Kid Rock will perform with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a special one-off show at the Fox Theatre in Detroit on May 12. The concert is a benefit show to raise money for the symphony. Composer Rob Mathes will be responsible for the show’s arrangement.

Quicken Loans chairman Dan Gilbert contacted Rock and convinced him to play the benefit, which hopes to raise $1 million for the struggling orchestra.

Tickets for the show will go on sale on Saturday, and range from $100-$350. If you can afford it, there will also be a V.I.P. package, including admission to an after-party, available for $1,500.
