Anthony Raneri, lead singer and guitarist of Bayside, has recently had to cancel select dates due to a finger infection that unfortunately spread throughout his hand. Shortly after, this statement was issued to Where’s The Band fans:
“I’ve spent the last 24 hours in the hospital in Orange County. I had an infection in my finger that spread through my hand. It’s totally stiff and painful. Really sorry to the fans that came out to SLO tonight to see me. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to San Francisco tomorrow either. Hoping to at least get up to Portland and Seattle to sing a few songs with my awesome tour mates playing guitar for me. Stay tuned”
However, fortunately for fans Portland and Seattle, Raneri made a recent follow-up announcement via Twitter that he will, indeed, be singing at those shows with guitar support from fellow tour mates.
So don’t fret, all of you Anthony Raneri and Bayside-obsessed fans, hope is not lost for this tough singer/guitarist. Check out Raneri’s live performance of “Killing Time” to last you until he’s back on stage.
