Adele’s second album, 21, has just eclipsed (aha) Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon in the UK’s all-time best-selling albums list, according to The Official Charts Company. This news comes only a few weeks after the album outsold Michael Jackson’s Bad.
So far, the album has sold over 4.14 million copies in the UK, just beating out Pink Floyd’s second-best album (deal with it). If the singer manages to sell 12,000 more copies, she’ll overtake Dire Straight’s Brothers in Arms, which now rests as the sixth best-selling album in UK history. The top 10 best-selling albums in the UK are as follows:
1. Queen – ‘Greatest Hits’
2. The Beatles – ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’
3. Abba – ‘Gold’
4. Oasis – ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’
5. Michael Jackson – ‘Thriller’
6. Dire Straits – ‘Brothers In Arms’
7. Adele – ’21′
8. Pink Floyd – ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’
9. Michael Jackson – ‘Bad’
10. Queen – ‘Greatest Hits II’
