Comedian and panel show veteran David Mitchell has announced his engagement to poker star and Only Connect host Victoria Coren.
Mitchell and Coren had already been together for a while, but ultimately made the decision to keep their relationship a private one.
The news of the couple’s engagement was posted in the Births, Marriages and Deaths section of The Times: “MR D.J.S. MITCHELL AND MISS V.E. COREN. The engagement is announced between David, son of Mr and Mrs Ian Mitchell, of Oxford, and Victoria, daughter of Dr Anne Coren and the late Mr Alan Coren, of London.”
Both Mitchell and Coren took to Twitter to thank people for the well-wishes, with Mitchell stating: “I’m finally coming round to the internet.”
