Entertainment Weekly has recently confirmed that Michael K Williams, also known as Omar Little on The Wire, also known as Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire, also known as Professor Kane on Community (Yes that’s one of his major three roles) will be playing rapping Russell Jones in the upcoming film Dirty White Boy.
Jones, better known as Ol’ Dirty Bastard of The Wu Tang Clan, was a highly regarded artist before his frequent arrests and extreme lifestyle caught up to him in 2004, leading to his early death (also making Williams, 45, older than Russell ever lived to be).
The film will be told primarily from the point of view of Jarred Weisfeld, a 22-year old production assistant who formed an unlikely friendship with the Wu-Tang founder.
