New Dragonette Single – Let It Go

Canandian elctro-pop darlings Dragonette are back! [I’ll only be happier when New Young Pony Club finally releases their third LP.] Anyway, the trio has released a brand new single called “Let It Go,” which they describe as ‘an energetic pop anthem with a pulsing beat.’

This tune bridges the gap between 2009’s well-received LP, Fixin To Thrill and the band’s highly anticipated third studio record, which is slated for digital release on April 3rd. Dragonette wrote and produced the new single themselves. Its package contains remixes by Laidback Luke, The Knocks and Faustix & Imanos. Stream the early online release below.

Along with the recently released single “The Right Woman,” which was featured on Diane Von Furstenberg’s compilation Proud To Be Woman Vol. 3, “Let It Go” marks the first of many new tracks to come from the Toronto band as they gear up to release a new full-length. After touring for two years, lead singer Martina Sorbara says that the prospect of writing a new album was intimidating.

Dragonette begins touring today with a combination of new tracks and old favorites. Performances include the Juno Awards and Coachella.
