X Factor boy band One Direction are a dead cert to take the U.S. Album Chart top spot this week, with a tally of 180,000 albums sold.
If successful, the group will be the first U.K. group ever to score a number one in America with their debut LP.
Up All Night failed to reach number one in Britain, but has sold around half a million copies since its release this past November and debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ spent four weeks atop the U.K. chart. The song debuted at number 28 on the Billboard Top 200.
