Video: Kony 2012 Filmmaker’s Meltdown From Close Up

As previously reported, Invisible Children co-founder and the filmmaker behind the Kony 2012 documentary had a massive meltdown this evening and was arrested by San Diego police. We posted video of the meltdown, but now more video as surfaced. This video is shows Russell at a closer angle screaming, cursing and pounding his fist on the pavement. Russell, 33,was detained at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Road after he was discovered allegedly masturbating and vandalizing cars. Police said they received several calls yesterday at 11:30 a.m. of a man undressed and  running through traffic and screaming. Police described him as “in his underwear.” He was held on a 5150 psychiatric hold to asset if he was a danger to himself or others.

Ben Keesey, CEO of Invisible Children said that Russell was suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition as a result of a strenuous PR campaign, and his family insist that drugs didn’t play a part in his meltdown.
