Sharon Van Etten continued the promotion of her new album Tramp on Conan last night. The singer stopped by the talk show and performed the track ‘Leonard’.
The album, released earlier this year, has garnered Van Etten vast critical acclaim with the NME already having called it ‘One of the best albums of 2012 so far’. Van Etten’s performance from what Conan described as ‘our tiny, tiny music set’ showed the singer a strong live performer.
Having released two albums prior to Tramp Van Etten continues the trend of hard working indie musicians, working for their big break. Much like the National, who’s guitarist coincidentally produced and performed on Tramp, Van Etten hasn’t been an overnight success, instead working hard for her newfound status as one of the most talked about musicians of the year so far.
As before mentioned, Van Etten is on her US tour, but will also take the album to the UK for a short five date tour, including her largest headline slot outside the States.
