XXL magazine head staff Vanessa Satten, Jayson Rodriguez and Carl Chery took the time to stop by NYC radio station Hot97 to discuss how they picked the rappers selected for the controversial XXL 2012 Freshman list. Host Peter Rosenberg brought up some interesting questions as to why certain highly-acclaimed rappers did not make the list, the relevance of a cover as opposed to just a list, the influence of the media and much more. XXL staff brought up some interesting perspectives, including the notion that this list is just an option, and people should go and find their personal favorite artists on their own.
