Monster Energy Drink has kicked off a 4 city tour in partnership with hip hop publication XXL Magazine. Dubbed the Monster Outbreak Tour, this annual tour series started in the winter of 2011 with a debut line up of mostly rock/metalcore bands, so this will be the energy drink company’s first foray into hip hop.
The controversial up and coming emcees that make up XXL’s 2012 Freshman List (Danny Brown, Macklemore, Hopsin, Iggy Azalea, Future, Don Trip, Kid Ink, Roscoe Dash, French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly) will be the main focus of the tour and which will also feature different headlining performances in each city by XXL Freshman alumni Wale, Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean.
