Sub Pop road warriors Blitzen Trapper have scheduled a ton of summer dates in support of their latest release, American Goldwing. The tour, which kicks-off at Sasquatch Festival in George, WA on May 26, will wrap up at Pickathon in Happy Valley, OR on August 5.
Blitzen Trapper will release a new single for Record Store Day. The “Hey Joe”/”Skirts On Fire” 7” single will be available in a limited edition run of 1800 and on yellow vinyl. Meanwhile, American Goldwing track, “Stranger in A Strange Land” is now the subject of a new video. The clip features landscapes found in Nome Alaska where there are no indigenous trees or mountains within plain sight. Film maker Luke Norby along with the help of Blitzen Trapper drummer Brian Koch compiled a series Norby’s incidental shots including shivery hand held pans in 20 below zero conditions and segments from a sweeping driving shot that Norby shot from the back of a truck in 2010.
