Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur, was “positively thrilled” with the holographic performance of her son at the Coachella festival, reports TMZ. Ms. Shakur was able to enjoy the holographic performance at her leisure via live stream.
Tupac’s longtime friend and collaborator, Dr. Dre made sure to seek Afeni’s approval before moving forward with the virtual hologram performance, and to show his appreciation he made a donation to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation.
The original plans were to feature rapper Nate Dogg in holographic form as well, who passed away last year, only to be withdrawn at the last minute.
