Death Cab for Cutie Kicks Off Denver Orchestral Tour

The indie-pop band is collaborating with San Francisco’s Magik Orchestra beginning a 22-date tour.  Denver’s Ellie Caulkins Opera House was the first to experience this magical performance where the tour kicked off.

Adding to the already rich and soothing tone of Death Cab’s music, the string octet will be supporting them for the entirety of the tour.

With each member of the band dressed in black with silhouettes in a blue backlight, Death Cab is reaching for a new approach to this classical tour.

Leader Ben Gibbard and Director Minna Choi are working hard together to create a seemingly calm and collective cross between the symphony sounds and soft rock.
