TMZ caught up Dr. Dre for his take on how the public has received the posthumous hologram performance of Tupac Shakur last weekend at Coachella.
“Great…perfect…we’re gonna have a good time (again) this Sunday.” says Dre. As part of a team developing the technology, he sees more advancements in making the 2 dimensional image rendered in 360 degrees happening in the future. Nothing is concrete about the rumored tour with the hologram rap icon yet, but Dre is still thinking about putting it together.
Dre also said that he hopes that artists such as rock and soul legends Jimmy Hendrix and Marvin Gaye would also be resurrected using holograms.
“I think everyone is in love with it right now. We’re having fun.”
Hologram Tupac is scheduled to hit the stage again during the second run of the 2012 Coachella festival this weekend.
