A few weeks ago we told you about Jack White’s unorthodox approach to premiering his new single “Freedom at 21″. The singer launched 1000 balloons filled with the flexi-disc and from there it was finders keepers.
Now White’s label, Third Man Records, is reporting that one of the found singles was sold on eBay for an astounding $4238.88, possibly making this the highest price ever paid for a flexi-disc record.
According to the label, only a few of the balloons were located, so check your backyards. You could be sitting on a treasure.
White’s debut album Blunderbuss drops April 24th via Third Man Records.
