According to Businessweek, Jay-Z and Rihanna will be the headlining acts in the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend Festival on June 23-24, 2012. This Olympic cultural event takes place one month prior to the actual games.
Other headliners include Florence + The Machine, Jack White and David Guetta.
Festival organizers comment that the festival will be “the biggest cultural celebration in our lifetime”; boasting a grandiose 18 million people participating in 9,000 performances. Many art events such as this will be taking place throughout the games from July 27th to August 12th.
