Greg Ham, multi-instrumentalist for popular Australian band Men at Work, was found dead at his Melbourne home Thursday, according to reports. He was 58.
“Police have established a crime scene, and the local crime investigation unit are attempting to determine cause of death,” a police spokeswoman told the Herald-Sun.
Det. Senior Sergeant Shane O’Connell has stated that “there were a number of unexplained issues with the 58-year-old’s death.”
Reports say that Ham was found home alone by friends, who let themselves in yesterday after he failed to answer the front door.
Men at Work scored several hits in the 80′s including “Who Can It Be Now” and “Down Under.” Ham played sax, keyboard and flute for the band from 1979 to 1986. After leaving, he worked as a music instructor. He is survived by two children.
