The divorce between famed NFL player Deion Sanders and his estranged Pilar came to a boiling point last night when the police were called to the Sanders’ home in Dallas, which resulted in Pilar’s arrest.
TMZ reports that Pilar was arrested on suspicion of attacking Deion last night and was booked for “assault family violence.”
According to Deion, his estranged wife, Pilar and her friend attacked him in his bedroom, and two of his sons witnessed the entire event. Deion told TMZ that Pilar had been taken to the hospital immediately after the incident — claiming she needed medical treatment.
Afterwards Deion tweeted, “Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She’s going to jail n I’m pressing charges!”
He continued,”I’m sad my boys witnessed this mess but I warned the police department here that she was gone try n harm me and my boys.”
The former NFL player spoke out about the incident on Dallas television station KXA.
“My kids, they are scared for their life,” Sanders told the station. “They just saw two women jump their dad in his own house, in his room, in my room. It’s sad.”
“I got locks on my doors right now,” he added. “Is somebody going to have to die? Is it going to be me before the court does something and get this woman out of my house? It’s absurd.”
Deion and Pilar have continued to live under the same roof during this increasingly nasty divorce, although he has made moves to have her removed from the home. The former couple have spent months squabbling over everything from defaming comments on twitter to the pre-nup signed by Pilar.
