Update: The track was removed from the album due to “label reasons” and that the track will eventually resurface on ASAP Rocky’s upcoming album.
The Kickdrums tweeted: “Had to pull the Lana – A$AP track due to label reasons. Song got too big too fast. Gonna explain in more detail in an interview today. A$AP wants the track for his album. Its as much his and lana’s music as it is ours so we have to respect that.”
It was hinted early on that sultry songstress Lana Del Rey and rising Harlem rapper ASAP Rocky were interested in working with each other someday. The collaboration has come to light, in the form of guest appearances on the track “Ridin” by production team The KickDrums’ upcoming Follow The Leaders mixtape. The smooth track features both artists seemingly flirting with each other through their lyrics, unexpectedly creating a very effective chemistry.
