Blur Announce ‘Warm Up’ Dates for August

In preparation for their massive Hyde Park show on Sunday 12th August, Britpop stalwarts Blur have announced four intimate U.K. dates as a “warm up”.

The show at London’s Hyde Park will also feature two-tone legends The Specials and Manchester’s own New Order – this will coincide with the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Speaking on the band’s website, bassist Alex James said:

“Every one of these shows will be very special and we can’t wait to get cracking.”

The dates are as follows:

AUGUST

1st – Winter Gardens, Margate
5th & 6th – Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
7th – Pavilions, Plymouth
