Cheryl Cole Announces Lana Del Rey will Feature on her New LP

Former/current Girls Aloud member, (it was never really clear if they’d actually split), has announced that Lana Del Rey will make an appearance on the singer’s third solo album, due to be titled A Million Lights.

The singer’s third album and first since 2010′s successful, but critically mixed album Messy Little Raindrops, will be released on the 18th June. Though previously only a rumour, Cheryl Cole today confirmed that the much in demand singer-songwriter would be appearing on the record. Previous reports claimed that the track would be an ‘urban, mid-tempo ballad’, that didn’t make the cut for Del Rey’s debut release Born to Die.

Cole has said of the biggest name in pop of 2012;

“It all happened really organically just like that. And then ‘Video Games’ came out and I fell in love with her as an artist as well, so yeah, she’s super talented.”

Cole also announced last month that her new LP would be the first to be released under the name ‘Cheryl’, as of wanting to cut connections to her former husband, and universally agreed upon douchebag Ashley Cole.
