Good God, Lemon, 30 Rock Will End with 13-Episode Season

30 Rock will be back for a seventh season. NBC says it will be the last, and an abbreviated one at that. In spite of critical acclaim, awards for the show and its stars and guests like Matt Damon, Elizabeth Banks and Al Gore, only 3.5 million people were watching it.

“This is untoward! This is not toward!”

Drawing on her experience as Saturday Night Live’s head writer, Tina Fey created 30 Rock in 2006. Filmed in New York, the show’s ensemble cast consists of Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer, Scott Adsit, Judah Friedlander, Katrina Bowden, Keith Powell, John Lutz, Kevin Brown, Grizz Chapman and Maulik Pancholy. In 2009, the series was nominated for 22 Emmy Awards, setting a record for comedy series.

Rumors were reported that Community, Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock would have abbreviated final seasons. NBC hasn’t confirmed the news about Community or Parks and Recreation.

30 Rock is syndicated on Comedy Central.
