Canadian indie rockers Metric today debuted Synthetica‘s second single earlier today, entitled Speed the Collapse.
The track quickly follows the release of the punchy and drum laden lead off single, Youth Without Youth, with new album Synthetica set to drop on the 6th June. The song itself is a more restrained song than it’s predecessor; an uptempo track with clever pop sensibility; all in all, the sound of Metric at their best.
Lead singer, Emily Haines said of the new album;
We kind of figured it out based on what feels right in the moment. But having stepped away and listened to the record it feels like there is a combination of the entire 10 years since the band has been together that is represented in the record.
