With a unique and energetic rhythm, the up and coming group called Delta Rae are set to release their debut album, “Carry the Fire” on Sire Records.
The six-piece group originally from Durham, South Carolina, sets their album up for great success with rich four-part harmonies infused with hints of blues, country, and rock.
“Fire,” a dynamic and naked guitar accompanied work serves as the highlight of the rising album. The audacious track is inspired by a ‘gossiping’ ex-boyfriend, singer Brittany Holljes confesses.
“My ex had a bad habit of telling strangers about our relationship problems,” she explains to Rolling Stone. ”As a couple, we were doomed anyway, but his gossip was a final kick in the teeth. I started singing the song right after I broke it off, and though it’s mostly just fury, the song also has an underlying ‘I’ve got your number’ quality. It’s an anthem for ass-kicking.”
“Carry the Fire” is set to be released June 19th.
