The Boy who Lived just died at the hand of the Avengers, at least when it comes to the box office opening weekend.
Marvel’s epic extravaganza pulled up an estimated $200.3 million, killing the previous champ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, who held the top spot with $169.2 million.
With a tally of $641.8 million made elsewhere, the Joss Whedon film has scored around $842.1 million up to this point.
Iron Man, the Black Widow and the rest of the superheroes left little business to the rest of the films, with Think Like a Man coming up in second place with $8 million.
The Hunger Games still refuses to go down and even came up a few places to land at number 3, managing to score $5.7 million.
