Annie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, has rapidly evolved into rock royalty over the course of her still very young career. If the universal praise for her latest album or the countless adoring fans at her live shows aren’t enough to convince you, try this on for size: She scored the opportunity to work on an album with David Byrne. Two years in the making, their collaboration, titled “Love This Giant,” will be released on Sep. 11 via 4AD and Todo Mundo Records.
According to 4AD, “Love This Giant” will feature 10 songs co-written and performed by Clark and Byrne and one solo track by each artist. The label’s announcement goes on to say, “The album centers around an explosive brass band and is propelled by John Congleton’s drum programming.” Eager readers can preview “Love This Giant”‘s tracklist below and download its first single, “Who,” for free here.
Clark and Byrne will also commence a North American tour together this Fall. Byrne reportedly confirmed that they will be performing material “that [they] suspect people will know” along with their collaborative work at these shows. Take a look at the tour dates below.
