Infectious Four-Song Teaser Primed for Compulsive Play
The Nashville brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall, aka Jeff the Brotherhood, are set to deliver another wicked dose of rock and roll grime on July 17, when they will drop their full-length follow-up to 2011’s double-blast of We Are the Champions and Live at Third Man.
The new LP, titled Hypnotic Nights, is still more than a month away, but the brothers have been so generous as to serve us up a four-song EP to hold us over. The collection, called Hypnotic Knights EP, aims to both tease us and calm our jittery fix for the brohood’s brand of brawny guitar crunch covered in candy-coated sheen and drenched in boozy splashes. As is the reputation with Jeff the Brotherhood, these tunes will rattle your brain, rot your teeth and make you clamor for the long, reckless summer nights where nothing seems to happen at all and everything happens all at once.
