Watch: Diamond Rugs on Letterman

Diamond Rugs album

The fun-loving brigade of rock and roll misfits that is Diamond Rugs made their network television debut Tuesday night on The Late Show with David Letterman. Diamond Rugs, comprised of John McCauley (Deer Tick), Robbie Crowell (Deer Tick), Ian Saint Pe (Black Lips), Hardy Morris (Dead Confederate), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) and Bryan Dufresne (Six Finger Satellite) amongst others, brought the raucous sing-along energy of “Blue Mountains” off the band’s self-titled debut and injected late night CBS with a jolt of boozy triumph.
Enjoy the clip below, and be sure to dive into the rock and roll treasure of Diamond Rugs’s spirited debut album, now available on Partisan Records.
