Billy Talent Reveal New Album Name & Artwork

Alternative-punky-hardcore rockers Billy Talent have released the album artwork and name of their upcoming album, to be titled Dead Silence.

The album will be the fourth in the band’s repertoire, following the creatively named series Billy Talent I, Billy Talent II and Billy Talent and the Revenge of the Sith Billy Talent III. Yes, its more than likely that the band did so to avoid any comparison to Led Zeppelin’s masterwork, IV.

As far as artwork is concerned, a strange coincidence has seen it featuring a glowing phone / police booth and flying / swimming sharks – two symbols of the recent Christmas special of Doctor Who.

Alas, I’m  98.5% sure that this shall remain coincidence, and that any hopes of The Doctor teaming up with the Canadian four-piece to fight space-creatures will be in vain. Guitarist Ian D’Sa’s method of making his hair so ridiculously amazing, however, will always be alien.

Dead Silence is due for a September 10 release, but before that, the band are set to play a number of UK shows in London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Reading and Leeds Festivals. All this after playing Download earlier this year, the lads sure are keeping themselves busy. You can listen to their latest single, ‘Viking Death March’, here.
